Who we are
World Owner (“the game”) is made by LGR Labs Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17511153, whose registered office is at 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF, United Kingdom. Contact: enquiries@lgrlabs.com.
Agreeing to these terms
By downloading or playing the game you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t play. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law as a consumer.
Playing the game
- We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to play the game on your devices, for your own non-commercial use.
- Please don’t cheat, use bots or modified versions of the game, reverse-engineer it, interfere with our servers or other players, or use the game to break the law.
- The game and everything in it (code, art, music, names and text) belong to us.
Accounts
You can play as a guest. Signing in (with Google, Facebook, Google Play Games, Apple, an email and password, or your phone number) is optional and keeps your city online. Keep your sign-in secure: use a password you don’t use elsewhere, and keep your phone and email to yourself; we act on instructions that come from your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account (see data deletion).
Display names
Choose a display name that isn’t offensive, misleading or someone else’s. We may change or remove a name that breaks this rule.
In-game money and items
Coins, shares and other in-game items have no real-world value, can’t be exchanged for money and can’t be transferred or sold to anyone else. We may adjust the game’s balance (for example prices and earnings) to keep it fair and fun.
Sealed Lots
Sealed Lots are opened with shares and give a reward chosen at random. Before every opening the game shows each possible reward and its exact chance, and the result is drawn by exactly those chances. Each lot guarantees a better reward at least once in a set number of openings, as the game shows. Rewards can’t be traded or exchanged for money. Sealed Lots are not offered in every country (for example Belgium), and some features may differ by country.
Purchases
- Purchases are made through Google Play or the App Store, under their terms, at the price shown in the store before you confirm. Everything sold is a fixed item; nothing sold is random.
- What you buy is digital content supplied straight away. When you confirm a purchase you agree to that, and you accept that the 14-day right to cancel ends once the item is delivered. This doesn’t affect your rights if an item is faulty or not as described.
- Subscriptions (such as supporters) renew until you cancel them in your Google Play or App Store account. Cancelling stops the next renewal.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their policies. If something you bought didn’t arrive, contact us and we’ll put it right.
Changes and availability
We keep improving the game, so features may change. We’ll try to keep it available, but it may sometimes be offline for maintenance. If we ever close the game, we’ll give reasonable notice in the game and on this site.
Ending your access
You can stop playing and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; where it’s fair to, we’ll tell you why first.
Our liability
We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We’re not responsible for loss that wasn’t foreseeable, or for business losses (the game is for personal use). Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we’ll update this page and its effective date, and tell you in the game when a change is significant.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you also keep the protection of your local consumer law and can bring a claim in your local courts. Please contact us first; most problems can be sorted out quickly.
